Starbucks meet-up

Sunday, August 30, 2009 @ 5:57 pm

Over the weekend, we hosted a Nerdbots meet and greet at a Kansas City Starbucks location. We showed some of our creations and had a chance to meet our current fans and many new people, too. It didn’t hurt that there was a sample station full of delicious new scones and a few new coffee blends to taste-test, and our friends at Starbucks made sure that the both of us were full of free lattes and pastries all morning. It was pretty tough to pack up and leave such a lovely and delicious time.

Some people call this junk

But we called it vacation. A couple of weeks ago, we took a road trip through several small towns, stopping at lots of antique and junk stores along the way. We came back well-rested with a car completely full of robot parts. We’ve been incorporating most of these items into the robots that we are dropping off at our big show this week at the Kansas City Plaza Halls.

These prints say they are “modern art for modern kids,” but you don’t have to be a child to appreciate robots in all their glory. Check out PrestoBingo for a large selection of small 7×9 robot prints either matted or matted and framed.
