For those of you in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, you can see us on TV tomorrow, October 15. We’ll be filming a live Nerdbots story around 7:30 a.m. on KCWE Channel 29. A second live airing will happen around 8:15 or 8:30 a.m., also on Channel 29. And if you miss both of those airings, a taped story should play on the 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. news on KMBC Channel 9. Set your DVRs!
If you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you should go check out the latest article about Nerdbots in KC Business magazine. Be sure to flip to page 43 for the feature on us called “Not-so Starving Artists.”
On the way to the photo shoot for the cover, we got a flat tire and Nick had to change it as fast as humanly possible on a really hot day. We were about 15 minutes late and drenched in sweat when we finally showed up. I’m not sure how we look as smiley and happy (and dry!) as we do.
The St. Joseph News-Press (a neighboring local newspaper) recently featured an article about Nerdbots in the Sunday, June 21 issue. Go to their website to read it online.
Want to hear about how Nick had 27 shards of metal lodged in his eyeball from robot construction? Yeah, we didn’t think so.
But you should still check out page 28 of this week’s Ink Magazine for an article about Nerdbots, part of a feature on local artists turning trash into art. Note: not for the faint of heart.
We’re today’s featured artists on ArtKC365. Go check out the article now!
